Example of semi commercial property will normally include a retail or office unit with a residential flat(s) above. These are commonly called “shops and uppers”.

Whilst partly residential these will be treated as commercial mortgage propositions by most lenders and are underwritten the same way as Commercial Investment Mortgages.
